Item description

Up for sale is my 1981 Landcrusier BJ42, Unfortunately the time has come to get rid of it, after being pulled apart and restored it was never driven as much as I hoped. Has done around 2,000 kms since rebuild. Have photos during rebuild for serious enquires only. BUILD LIST Every part of this truck has been looked at or cleaned up in some way so im bound to forget somethings but this is the majority of it. Engine- 3B 3.4 Diesel (only running 4 PSI) Head Port & Polish Reground Cam (more aggressive) Thicker Head gasket for dropped compression Forged Pistons (Further Dropped Compression) Fuel Compensator for the mechanical injection (stops dumping fuel at low revs and increases it at high revs) Garrett Turbo M24 (unsure on sizing) Full Ceramic coated exhaust manifold and Downpipe (drops into full 3" system with small muffler) Ford XR6 Intercooler -Boost can be turned up at will with subsequent fuelling as well. Engine builder recommended 4psi for the run in, but we never turned it up afterwards due to already making more power/torque then its previous turbo setup. Drivetrain 35" Maxxis Creepy Crawlers Excedy Heavy duty Clutch 5 Speed Toyota box (sourced from a 60 series) ARB Air Lockers Front and Rear (Diffs rebuilt) Custom Length drive shafts Front Disc Conversion (Can lock the 35”s up) Interior Full Loop Carpet Restored Cluster Boost Gauge and EGT gauge ARB switches and compressor switch under dash Re-Upholstered Sport Seats. Roll (Half) Cage Lock Box/Toolbox on Wheel Wells Comes with Heaps of spares (Tire Plugs Straps, Air compressor Gear, High Lift Jack) Mod Plates included. Much Much More... This truck has never let me down, ever. It turns heads everywhere I go and absolutely bulletproof, hence why I’m disappointed having to let go of it. Very different to any modern 4X4, always get a compliment when I take it out. Kept as original looking as possible while building a reliable 4WD that wont leave you stranded. Much more that ive probably missed but shows work that’s gone into it.
